The Vice President (VP) in Stout’s Digital & Data Analytics practice will play a leadership role in designing, building, and scaling advanced analytics, AI, and full-stack technology solutions that solve complex business, financial, and regulatory challenges.
This role sits at the intersection of data, AI, and enterprise technology, with direct exposure to senior clients, including private equity sponsors,
Fortune 100 companies, and leading law firms.
You will lead high-impact engagements spanning AI platform development, valuation analytics, supply chain optimization, and data-driven decision systems, while mentoring teams and shaping the firm’s innovation agenda.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Delivery
• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex engagements (analytics, AI, and technology)
• Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders on data, AI, and digital strategy
• Translate complex and ambiguous business problems into scalable technical solutions
• Present findings and recommendations to executive audiences
AI, Data & Platform Development
• Architect and deploy enterprise AI solutions, including LLM-powered applications, agentic workflows, and internal AI platforms
• Design modular, reusable components (e.g., data ingestion pipelines, document extraction modules, optimization engines)
• Oversee development of full-stack applications (front-end, APIs, data layers)
• Guide implementation of ML/AI models, including forecasting, optimization, and statistical analysis
Technical Leadership
• Lead engineering teams across data engineering, ML, and application development
• Establish best practices for architecture, code quality, testing, and deployment
• Drive adoption of modern cloud-native and AI-first architectures
• Review and contribute to critical code and system design decisions
Practice Development
• Contribute to building Stout’s AI and analytics platform strategy
• Support business development, proposals, and client pitches
• Identify repeatable solutions and accelerators for scaling across clients
• Lead and mentor junior team members and help build high-performing teams
Qualifications & Experience
• 5–10+ years of experience in data analytics, AI/ML, or full-stack development, preferably in consulting or high-growth environments
• Proven track record leading complex, client-facing technology or analytics engagements
• Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems, AI platforms, and modern software architecture
• Experience working with private equity, financial services, or complex regulated environments is a plus
• Preferred experience in optimization and financial modeling
Technical Skills
• Advanced proficiency in Python
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js)
• Experience designing and building APIs and microservices (FastAPI, Node.js)
• Hands-on experience with:
o LLM platforms (e.g., OpenAI API, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini)
o Prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows
• Experience deploying ML models (forecasting, optimization, NLP, etc.)
• SQL and data modeling (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
• Large-scale data processing and ETL design
• Deep experience with at least one cloud platform (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with enterprise BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Ability to design executive-level dashboards and decision systems
Education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
