The conference 'In ICT We Trust?' follows a broad, non-reductive conception of cybersecurity which does not reduce the problem to a mere technical question. Rather, the emphasis is on ethical implications and sociocultural perceptions of digital environments.

The establishment and general uptake of information and communication technologies (ICT) in European societies is not just a question of functionality, (technical) security and usability. Ethical standards gain significance when it comes to the adoption of ICT, such as respect for civil and human rights.

The School of Political Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is holding a conference for Postgraduate Students, Doctoral Candidates and Young Researchers on ‘The Greek - Turkish War, 1919 - 1922’. The conference will take place in Thessaloniki in May 2019.

The long crisis and the partition of the Ottoman Empire after the conclusion of the Great War caused unrest in the Eastern Mediterranean.
