The aim of the MANGO project is to reduce the energy consumption of large data centres without limiting either their performance or the features of the applications being run. Its approach is to develop a prototype high-performance massive computing system that will improve the performance of the machine cores and interconnection of their components, as well as optimise resource management, power monitoring and cooling, and programming models.
Funded by the European Union under the Horizon2020 programme, the MANGO project to optimise energy use at large data centres is being led by the Universitat Politècnica de València (Polytechnic University of Valencia, UPV).
