The Central European Institute of Technology at the Brno University of Technology (CEITEC BUT) is a scientific centre in the fields of life sciences, advanced materials and nanotechnologies, whose aim is to establish itself as a recognized centre for basic as well as applied research. CEITEC BUT offers state-of-the-art infrastructure and excellent working conditions.
The CEITEC BUT, currently composed of over 200 researchers and 13 independent research groups, is now seeking new group leader working at the leading edge of advanced materials and/or nanotechnologies. Current topics of interest include – but are not limited to – nanoelectronics, nanophotonics, spintronics, nanomechanics, energy harvesting (e.g. photovoltaics, fuel cells), biosensors, biomaterials, biochemistry, biomedicine and advanced materials. The institute will put particular emphasis on the research covering all aspects of the experimental research in the above areas, i.e. fabrication of nanostructures or nanostructured materials, their characterization, measurement of their functional properties and, ideally, resulting in new technologies with a proof of concept.
The prospective applicant will be required to provide the following:
Clear evidence of an independent track record in the research field of advanced materials and/or nanotechnologies related to at least one of the above cited areas.
Concise description of previous achievements and current research interests
Future research plan (4 pages max)
Name and address of at least three referees
