DESY, Zeuthen location, is seeking:
Postdocs (f/m) in Gamma-ray Astrophysics
DESY
DESY is one of the world’s leading research centres for photon science, particle and astroparticle physics as well as accelerator physics. The Zeuthen location of DESY has a strong focus on astroparticle physics, particularly gamma-ray and neutrino astronomy. The experimental groups are accompanied by a strong astroparticle theory group.
The position
Active role in the CTA consortium
Contributions to one of the small telescope camera projects (CHEC): hardware, firmware, and/or reconstruction software and performance aspects
Preparing for science with CTA
Gamma-ray data analysis and interpretation of existing telescopes within the institutes gamma-ray group
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Requirements
Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or astroparticle physics
Experience in instrumentation, data acquisition, data analysis or simulations in astroparticle physics, high-energy physics or astrophysics

The position is limited initially to 2 years with the possibility of an extension. Salary and benefits are commensurate with those of public service organisations in Germany.
