The JRC and the US-based International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) have signed a collaborative research arrangement on building up the resilience of vulnerable and poor populations, and improving the livelihood of smallholder farmers in developing countries. The cooperation will also include the analysis of agriculture-related subsidies and policy implications.
The JRC and the IFPRI will work together on the development of innovative and cost-effective approaches and will explore possible research projects to improve the analysis of food security, nutrition, and resilience of smallholder farmers.
