University of Bern is looking for ambitious PostDocs with a strong interest in environmental, plant, animal and human health and host-microbiome interactions.
Applicants should have a PhD in one or several of the following disciplines:
Earth- and environmental sciences, aquatic sciences, soil biology, plant biology, animal biology, microbiology and/or immunology.
Applicants should furthermore be proficient in using methods from one or several of the following fields:
Analytical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiomics, metagenomics, bioinformatics.
Applicants should have a strong interdisciplinary research interest coupled with good communication and supervision skills and willingness to integrate into and interact with different laboratories. We expect a strong track record of early-career accomplishments that demonstrate scientific excellence and innovation in the form of high quality peer-reviewed publications and methodological achievements.
