20 ESRs (Early Stage Researchers) who want to apply for a PhD project within the Amsterdam Rheumatology Center for AutoImmune Diseases (ARCAID; project 847551) funded by a European Horizon 2020 MSCA-COFUND grant. ARCAID features an international, interdisciplinary and intersectorial approach to train a diverse group of ESRs to become the future leaders in autoimmune rheumatology research and creators of improved bench-to-bedside approaches.

You will be planning, designing and carrying out experiments involving recombinant antibody production and characterization, transcriptome and immune profiling of patient samples using multi-parameter flow cytometry, single cell RNASeq and B cell receptor repertoire analysis, and immunohistochemistry among other techniques.

The Plasmon Nanotechnologies Research Line ad Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia is seeking a highly motivated candidate with lab experience in the field of optical spectroscopy and plasmonics. In particular, the ideal candidate should have experience in optical spectroscopy and single molecule spectroscopies in the Visible range. A robust background in Optics is required, whereas expertise in plasmonics and/or DNA will be considered a plus. The research topic regards the DNA manipulation by plasmonic nanoparticles and single molecule sequencing by enhanced spectroscopy.

As a successful candidate, you will perform collaborative research towards the realization of quantum computing technologies in the context of our EU Quantum Technology Flagship (qt.eu) project OpenSuperQ (opensuperq.eu). Your main goal will be to build a system with up to 100 qubits, and to realize algorithms for quantum chemistry and optimization.
