The European Synchrotron, the ESRF, is an international research centre based in Grenoble, France.

The consumption and healthy lifestyles group is a young and ambitious chair group keen to unravel the origins of healthy and sustainable consumption and lifestyle practices. These behavioural insights are used to design, evaluate and implement strategies to enable healthy and sustainable consumption. These strategies include upstream environmental and downstream behavioural interventions acknowledging that individual behaviour is socially embedded and arises in specific times and places.

The Internet forms the backbone of today's economy and society. However, the energy consumption of the Internet is getting out of hand: it is projected to consume one fifth of global energy by 2025! This huge energy consumption also makes the Internet vulnerable to failures of its energy resources, for example due to low solar panel productions.

Therefore, the goal in this collaborative project between Computer Science, Mathematics and Integrated Circuit Design (Electrical Engineering) is to make the Internet energy-efficient and resilient towards energy failures.

KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm invites applications for up to two postdoctoral research positions in the general field of nuclear power safety. The successful candidates will join the Division of Nuclear Power Safety which conducts research on thermal-hydraulics and accident phenomena of risk importance to existing and future nuclear reactors, and also performs safety analysis for nuclear power plants, including design basis accident analysis and severe accident analysis with particular emphasis on light water reactors.

Currently, there are two full-time Postdoc positions available at the Electrical Energy Systems Group at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in the area of power quality for traditional distributed network system and power-electronics-dominated power system. The appointment for each position is for a fixed period of two years.

However, the utilized fuels will change more and more from fossil fuels to sustainable fuels like biofuels, solar fuels and metal fuels.
