The Sensors, Clouds, and Services laboratory (SCSLab) bases on School of Computer Science and Information Technology, RMIT University, Melbourne. It is an internationally recognised research institute for innovation and applied research, focused on interdisciplinary research areas of sensor, cloud, and service computing. Its mission is to develop a world-class creative environment that will foster innovation and support the development of a team of highly innovative researchers.

As part of our strategy for research, innovation and development, Bishop Grosseteste University is investing in full-time PhD studentships. These will be awarded to candidates who can demonstrate their academic achievement and future research potential. Commencing in Spring 2016, candidates will have the opportunity to work alongside BGU’s world leading academics for up to four years.

BGU will also be able to provide a bursary of up to £14,000 and payment of PhD tuition fees.

The Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics (WCGE) and the Leadership Excellence Institute Zeppelin (LEIZ) will award up to seven scholarships for the PhD program "Ethics and Responsible Leadership in Business",starting in September 2016.

Conditions and benefits
The training programme will last 4 years to complete the PhD thesis. It’s offered an internationally competitive salary.

The 4 PhD positions are each part of larger projects, including national and international partner institutions, which are to be carried out in the context of the so-called SURF programme: Smart Urban Regions of the Future (see also surf.verdus.nl). The research activities of our IMPRS are focused on four core areas: molecular recognition of carbohydrates, interaction of biomolecules with light, directed intracellular processes, as well as directed shape changes of tissues.

Cardiff Business School, supported by the ESRC Wales Doctoral Training Centre (Wales DTC), invites applications for four funded PhD Studentships in Management and Business Studies, to commence late-September 2016.

What does it mean?

The students receiving this scholarship do not have to pay the tuition fee if they complete a full-time study load – 30 ECTS per semester. The academic year consists of two semesters.
