The eikones Graduate School at the Center for the Theory and History of the Image at the University of Basel invites applications for three positions for doctoral study on the theory and history of the image for four years beginning September 1, 2024.

Applications are invited to 11 PhD positions within the Doctoral Network NanoRAM.

NanoRAM is funded under the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and incorporates 19 organisations across 12 countries with the goal of training a new generation of scientists in the development and application of newly developed manipulation and characterisation nanotools in soft matter research.

The UCAM-SENS is a scientific unit that strives for the true digital transformation of key domains such as Health, Sport, Food and the Environment by using advanced (bio)chemical sensing based on electrochemistry and imaging principles. The UCAM-SENS is led by two well-recognized worldwide investigators, Prof. Maria Cuartero (ERC Fellow) and Prof. Gaston Crespo, who after an extensive academic career in Switzerland and Sweden of ten years, set this unique research and educational environment at the UCAM.

The Doctoral Education Pilot in Precision Cancer Medicine (iCAN flagship) is looking for Doctoral Researchers. Digital Precision Cancer Medicine Flagship for Discoveries and Improved Treatments (iCAN) has established a multifaceted platform enabling integration of rich molecular information on tumors with complex longitudinal patient health data. The aim of the flagship is to obtain a new level of understanding of cancer in the context of the host and to identify new targets and opportunities for improved treatments.

The “Interdisciplinary School for the Blue Planet” (ISblue) launches an international post-doctoral fellowship program. This call continues the International postdoctoral program offered by ISblue since 2019 and LabexMER before. ISblue offers creative young scientists the opportunity to develop their own research project in one of the ISblue laboratories. As part of the strong multidisciplinary ISblue community, post-doctoral fellows gain a valuable experience and new opportunities for career development in marine science and technology.

University of Jyväskylä is seeking to recruit eight (8) Doctoral Researchers for a fixed term of three years to the Doctoral Education Pilot for Mathematics of Sensing, Imaging and Modelling (DREAM). The positions are filled to the department of Mathematics and Statistics at the faculty of Mathematics and Science, as well as the faculty of Information Technology.
