Two 2-year post-doctoral positions funded by the Belgian Research Fund F.R.S-FNRS are available in the team of Francesco RENZI at the Research Unit in Biology of Microorganisms (URBM) of the University of Namur, Belgium.

The main lab interests are centered on the cell envelope of bacteria of the phylum Bacteroidetes that comprises saprophytes, commensals and pathogens.

The Principal and Fellows of St Hugh’s College are pleased to invite applications for the 2020 and 2021 Belcher Visiting Fellowships in Victorian Studies. This non-stipendiary Fellowship was established through a legacy left to the College by the renowned Pugin scholar, Dr Margaret Belcher, who read English at St Hugh’s in the late 1950s.

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) full time Experience Researcher (ER)/ post-doctoral Research Associate at the newly established UNESCO and European Research Area Chairs on Digital Cultural Heritage within the Digital Heritage Research Laboratory (DHRLab) of the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) in the research field of Digital Heritage and Cultural Informatics.

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill five (5) PhD fellows / ESRs places at the newly established UNESCO and European Research Area Chairs on Digital Cultural Heritage within the Digital Heritage Research Laboratory (DHRLab) of the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) in the research field of Digital Heritage and Cultural Informatics.

Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology at the Tampere University invites applications for DOCTORAL RESEARCHER positions starting on August 1st, 2020.

The Max-Born Institute for Nonlinear Optics and Short Pulse Spectroscopy (MBI) conducts basic research in the field of nonlinear optics and ultrafast dynamics arising from the interaction of light with matter and pursues applications that emerge from this research. It develops and uses ultrafast and ultra-intense lasers and laser-driven short-pulse light sources in a broad spectral range in combination with methods of nonlinear spectroscopy.

The Laboratory of Food Chemistry and Biochemistry (LFCB) at KU Leuven has a long-standing tradition of cereal chemistry research. Over the years, our focus has expanded towards investigating other food constituents as well. A particular focus point has been to investigate structure-function, with an emphasis on techno-functionality, relationships of these food constituents. This allows steering food production processes towards a higher end product quality.

The Interuniversity Center for Social Science Theory and Methodology ICS offers fully funded PhD positions for a variety of projects. The PhD students will be appointed for a four-year period, with a formal evaluation at the end of the first year. In this period the graduates will work on their individual project, leading to a doctoral dissertation.

The programme (fully taught in English) will start September 1st, 2020.
